The secret to the best tropical beach vacation ever at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa is to have a beach rental – rent a beach tent or cabana for a day – or two!
You have to do this ahead of time, when you make your reservations, because they fill to capacity. Before you’ve been there, it’s almost impossible understand your different options. There aren’t any photos on the hotel website, and you don’t know the layout of the hotel and beach. But the beach services center at the Hyatt Regency Maui did end up giving me the perfect recommendation after asking about my family’s likes and activities!

Reserve these at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa before your stay, through the pool services desk. Yes, it is pricey. But we got a deal on our rooms, so compared to other resorts I could justify the cost. This is what we rented. I thought it was insanely expensive and almost cancelled more than once. And I didn’t tell my budget-conscious better half how much it was until after the day was over. But even he agreed at the end of the day that it was worth it!

Platform floor, grass roof, 4-sided curtains, currently $250 per day
Hyatt Regency Maui Beach rental Ohana
