Books for presents? You might be afraid that doesn’t sound very exciting. But a big set of books in a boxed set is colorful and exciting! Here are the best books to give as a set from my own kids’ favorite book series.

Gifts for kids - Are you looking for a non-toy gift idea for kids that will still be exciting? Sometimes it's hard to come up with a present idea that you don't think is just going to become more clutter! A single book might not sound exciting. But there is something about a boxed book set that promises more adventure! Check out this list of my kids' favorite book boxed sets. They're the best boxed book sets to give kids this Christmas!

Are you looking for a non-toy gift idea for kids that will still be exciting? Sometimes it’s hard to come up with a present idea that you don’t think is just going to become another dusty toy in a bin. (Or worse, a dusty toy that becomes part of the clutter!)

A single book, unless a kid is a super reader, might not seem to fit the bill. But, there is something about several books – or even a whole series – that promises more adventure.  Something about a boxed set makes the books seem more like a toy or a kit. Maybe it’s the selection?

This list, the best boxed book sets to give kids, is arranged roughly by age. The easier books are toward the top and the more challenging at the end. Boxed book sets make great Christmas presents for kids!

My middle son asked for sooo many books this year! I love giving the gift of books and you have some of our very favorite series listed here. Thanks so much for sharing with us at the Happy Holidays Link Party. Pinned.

You’re welcome! Even though my kids don’t have much time to read now, they still want some books for Christmas. I just finished ordering the Artemis Fowl Graphic novels for my son. And yesterday I ordered later books from Penderwicks and the Mysterious Benedict Society for my two daughters – the only owned a couple of each series. Even in the age of electronics, when you love them you want to own them!
