The Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa really is the best place to stay on Maui, but here are some tips to make your stay even better!…
I’ve only stayed at resorts three times in my entire life. The very first time I stayed at a resort was on a trip to Hawaii twenty years ago. So when we finally got the chance to take our teens to Hawaii, I knew we’d really have to stay in a resort to give our teens the Hawaii experience I remembered.
This is the part where I’m supposed to start gushing about how everything at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa was perfect, and heavenly, and paradise!
But I’m not going to do that.
But I’m still going to show you why the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa is the BEST place to stay. It’s not perfect, but it’s pretty close….
West Maui is one of the three different areas we stayed in during our Maui vacation. Keeping the areas straight even on such a tiny island isn’t easy. Especially when all the guide books like to tell you that every location is wonderful!
Here are our impressions of West Maui….
South Maui is one of the three different areas we stayed in during our Maui vacation. There are 2 main resort areas and at least 4 other areas where visitors can stay. Wrong. Well, not wrong about the island part. It is an island. But wrong about the easy part.
There are two main areas are where you’ll find most of the resorts. There’s West Maui – which probably looks like north Maui to you on a map, and South Maui – which is also on the west coast of Maui, but not as far west as West Maui and further south than West Maui. Get that?
No? Well keep reading and I’ll explain….
Image sizes (photo sizes) for blogs and social media change all the time as screen resolution gets better. This can make it hard to know what size to upload photos to a blog. And since some social media you can share from a blog post, you’ll want to include images that are the correct size in your posts. But I want to streamline it. I’m searching for one image size for all social media.
One image size for all social media
Choosing an image size for blog posts
Since I personally like to use Pinterest, I’m still going to make a main image for my blog posts that will look good on Pinterest and will display decently on Facebook and Twitter. But I’m going to start trying to share images on Instagram or possibly Snapchat. When I have a post with a lot of images, like my post about Maui[link], I’m going to make the additional images a size and dimensions that will work well on the photo social media platforms….
Planning a snorkeling trip? I’ve got a great tip – an equipment hack to take cheap underwater video to record your once-in-a-lifetime trip!…
One of our favorite attractions at Disney Hollywood Studios was The Magic of Animation: Animation Academy at the Animation Station. (Classes are generally every 30 minutes, but are often full, so be sure to check the schedule.) We sent the guys off to enjoy repeated rides on the Star Wars ride Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, while the girls headed to the class. In second week of June, we arrived early for the second-to-last session of the day, and didn’t have any trouble getting in….
